Requirements for Body Therapy

Requirements for Massage Therapist/Asian Bodywork and Associate degrees

Candidates are accepted for entry each semester beginning in January, May, or September of each year. Students may enroll up to the first day of classes in any semester, but should apply at least three months in advance. Classes are subject to closure or cancellation. Admission is open to the following individuals:

  • Students possessing a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Transfers from accredited colleges or universities, or acceptable massage training programs.
  • International students who meet academic, financial, health, and English language requirements. Students whose first language is other than English must take a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and achieve a score of 500 or computer-based test equivalent of 173.

Applicants must submit a completed application form with all supporting documentation and fees required on that form.

Applications are accepted continually throughout the year. An interview with a college admissions representative may be scheduled before or after submission of the application. Accepted students will be notified within 30 days.

Students in Pacific's Master of Science (Traditional Oriental Medicine) program in San Diego may earn a Massage Therapist certificate or Associate degree while enrolled in the Master degree program.  Master degree classes may count for credit toward these programs.
